Matt Bromley surfs gnarly Skeleton Bay

skeloton coast wave

South Africa hellman Matt Bromley charging Skeleton Bay on one of the biggest days ridden there. This clip is crazy.

The dream of a perfect sand bottom point that reels down for miles isn’t that far fetched if your willing to travel, once you arrive at your destination however, you might need a little more than desire. Namibia came alive once again. Follow South Afrian surfer, Matt Bromley as he travels the Wave in the Namibian Desert which he calls heaven.

Dirty Habits visit Madagascar.

The Dirty Habits crew, Pro kiteboarder Graham Howes and danish film maker Louis Larsen recently visited the uncharted Northern coast of Madagascar, in the Diana Region of Diego Suarez.

kitesurf madagascar battle of the bays tour to the island of Madagascar with the graham howes and the dirty habits crew
Over the course of 2 weeks they not only rode and competed at the best freestyle spots in the country, they also searched for new unridden spots that litter the east coast of Madagascar. With hundreds of turquoise bays, protected by mangroves, mango trees and the grand Boabab trees.

The Video gives you just a taste of this amazing kitesurf destination. One of the most amazing kite and travel destinations that are truly unspoilt.

Dirty Habits RCM Battle of the Bay kiteboarding contest and exploration trip organized my Mad Power Events.

Jamie O’Brien Epic 4: Homemade Bungee Cord and Giant Ramp

Bungee Cord and Giant Ramp

Jamie O’Brien convinces Poopies to jump off the Wahiawa Bridge using a homemade bungee cord. JOB and the boys then build a giant kicker ramp and use it at Waimea, Haleiwa and Pipeline. Giant flips and lots of fun lead to what may be the world’s best best slip and slide!

Puddle Surfing: Jamie O’Brien Gets Barreled in Mud Water

Puddle Surfing

Puddle Surfing in Mud Water? Like him or not, for Jamie O’Brien and his boards, a surf session is literally a simple just-add-water away – crystal clear, contaminated, or otherwise. These Red Bull series are entertaining enough, yet it’s far and away the most entertaining when the North Shore boys are being innovative in their screwing over of Poopies. And in true Macgyver spirit, the rippers head to Waimea Bay for a lil’ river surfing after they’ve contracted all they can from the puddle.

Who needs Pipeline? The kids are getting along fine without it.

Alex and Koa Smith captured some pretty amazing Gopro footage from a crazy surf trip they had in Micronesia. They just released a rad new edit so make sure you check it out.

The FreeRide Project 2 – A Proper Kiteboarding movie

The “FreerRide” project is an idea that started in 2011. Four riders from different brands started traveling together and filming how they wanted the sport to look and be represented.

The FreeRide Project 2 - Kiteboarding

Four riders quoted saying, this is a no-mess, un-brand motivated representation of what we want kiteboarding to be and what it means to us as we travel to some of the best spots and biggest wakestyle events throughout the year, to just have fun and ride!

This video goes to South Africa, Greece, Cape Hatteras, Egypt and Russia, with some kiteboarding and wakeboarding action in each spot.

Sit back and enjoy, the video will be available for free download soon. The idea being that you can burn your own DVD/movie, share it at home or play it in your shops!! Spread the word!!

A big THANKS to all involved who made this possible and helped us along the way! The KiteLauncher!!

Black Dog

Crank up your speakers! Black Dog from

The concept of this short film was simply bringing the feeling of rock onto water. The idea came up some time ago and last year’s fall we got together to realize it.

Black Dog

Five riders thrift shopped for some dope ass clothes and spent a few days at Wakeboard Langenfeld to film for this clip. Manu and the crew turning into beast on the water.

It was very obvious that we would need an amazing song for this. What would fit better than the band with the biggest influence in Rock, Led Zeppelin.

Jaco Steyn, Surf Dirty

Jaco Steyn, one of the Dirty Habits crew spent some time in Nias, Indonesia. Being the humble guy he, his dad leaked 1 or 2 pics of him, but no evidence of any video footage 2 years later.

So when i got hold of his MAC to get some footage for our new Dirty Habits movie we are making, i find these clips… well once i picked my jaw off the ground i proceeded to post it to vimeo. Talent like this is too good not to be shared.

We kept the good one’s for the Dirty Habits movie to be released soon.

Dirty Habits Freeride summer teaser

Well in case you missed the boat. This is how The Crew at Dirty Habits does summer.

dirty habits video

Amongst the Chaos this summer and all the international legends visiting The Dirty Habits crib, including Nitro Circus’ Erik Roner, Wake legends Shawn Watson and Kevin Henshaw, World champ freestyle paraglider Marvin Ogger, extreme kiters Ruben Lenten, Robbie Naish… we also had had Freeride Project and Riplslix Productions founder Tom Court spend the summer with us along with Crane jumper, Nick Jacobsen. Between the 3 boys including Mr. Dirty Habits Graham Howes, 3 very different projects began to merge into one common idea, The quest for epicness. and although the lines are still blurred between our different lives existing at other parts of the world, one thing remains certain. we sure as hell are having a good time. Here is the evidence. the teaser… just the tip of the iceburg.

Vid by Ripslix production – Tom Court

Tom Court:

“So this winter I decided to hit the Cape Town kite scene again, after filming a section of the #freerideproject 2 (coming soon) here last year I couldn’t resist going back again. Heading out to roll with Dirty Habits crew (Graham Howes, Nick Jacobsen) and get the full CT experience…
Also catching up with Aaron Hadlow, The North team, riding some sessions with Craig Cunningham and generally getting up to some FreeRide Project kiteboarding fun!

Distinction, Pure wakestyle with Sam Light and Alex Fox

Wakestyle now, is a term thrown around pretty loosely these days in kiteboarding, which is unusual because as recently as two years ago, it was a term that essentially only referred to about %1 of the kiteboarding population. However with the recent emergence of bindings on the world tour, you see more and more people throwing that word around. It seems now as if almost all the top pros fall into the same category, what follows can be considered the distinction… In Patrick Wieland’s new short film “Distinction” produced by Mauicio Abreu, riders Alex Fox and Sam Light establish the standard and return the word “wakestyle” to its original roots.
