Shark Caught in Langebaan Lagoon, Shark bay Kiteboarding spot

This weekend,  on the 18th January, local fisherman were using live bait to catch a shark in the Cape Town’s paradise lagoon, Langebaan, Shark bay Kiteboarding spot. They caught more than they bargained for whilst using a large live Yellow Tail as bait. The fisherman caught this large female 190kg, 3 meter ‘Bronzie’ (Bronze whaler or Copper Shark) a few kilometers up the lagoon in the channel between Shark Bay, (the very popular kiteboarding location, frequented by hundreds of beginner and professional kiteboarders every day) just across from Kraal Bay, a popular freestyle windsurf spot.
